to be fair, this story at some point has been done. Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman take on global threat. This is not high level story telling that requires thought and a large IQ. Through the comics and cartoons if you are or have been a fan, there was never going to be a story that surprised you. This is a live action take on a story that has been done many times, the essentials anyways. Unless you are new to the fan train, then it would be silly to say the movie gave away the plot. Hell the plot is in the freaking title. Come on people, it is meant to be mindless fun and an escape to another world. When did people forget that?

Yeah but to actually spoil it. It's one thing to look at a rumour and go "Oh gee that makes sense, we'll have to see" and then actually seeing it in a trailer.

The focus should have been on the fight between them, DoomZod should have been that twist you know is coming but you are so occupied with the on going fight that you don't really think about it.

Now it's Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman vs Doomsday

DC...changing things for the sake of it. They should have learnt from Marvels mistakes.

That could be anything. Lex Luthor could even be classed as that threat, maybe in his mechanical suit or something. Not like it actually says "a new threat, which is Doomsday created from or actually is Zod". You don't even have to rule other villains out because it's a synopsis, even the smallest villain could be made out to be a threat.

By mistakes I mean the fact that, despite not being their fault, they could have created a Universe which sticks more to the source material because they need to change it...they didn't have to involve Zod with Doomsday. Wouldn't you have liked to see Ultron in the Avengers created by Hank or Spiderman be in the main team during Phase 1, because DC owns everything they could have done something Marvel couldn't, comic book films better adapted.

They changed the whole fkin premise of civil war so why is doomsday's origin such a big deal and we don't even know if that rumor is true yet. Kryptonite comes into play too and we don't know how Lex knows about it.

Because Civil War has to be changed...they don't own all the characters

No Fantastic Four and no X-Men puts a huge hole in that and many of their stories. The change is totally justified.

Then maybe they should not do the civil war storyline then instead of changing it...using the same logic. But I do agree that Doomsday could look more menacing, needs more of that exterior skeleton bones coming out esp on face. I do agree that changing Doomsday's origin would be stupid but tbh we don't know if that is indeed the case or not. may be they recovered Zods body to examine for weakness and thats where kryptonite comes in
