After months of waiting, we finally get some footage of Captain America Civil War.
Too excited for this!
I am DEFINITELY going to be seeing this one opening night.
Looks good but it's coming off a little one sided Probably would have been better not to use Civil War as the third Captain America film Black Panther looks sick though
Panther looks freaking awesome. I love that Steve can't even come close to his speed. I don't think it's really one-sided because while Cap has more numbers, Stark's got two walking armories, a ghost robot, basically a ninja, and a woman trained to be one of the deadliest assassins on the planet. Sorta evened out, IMO.
I meant in terms of making Cap look like he's in the right and making Stark a bad guy when in Civil War none of them were wrong
vision could kill all of them. Black Panther is a beast ( fights silver suffer and others in the comics) Yes Scarlet witch is ( on cap side it looks like but they wont have her reach her full abilities like she has in the comics)
Ultimately Cap was still right . The regulation and registration did nothing to prevent powered people proliferation , and was doomed to be a tool for wrongful control once governements and agencies fall into the wrong hands . Which obviously happened for years afterward . Even if Tony was portrayed in a more friendly fashion in the books , and even if Tony had succeeded to create a fair and working system , what happens the moment he steps out of the commanding position ? It was another allegory about security VS freedom , and i don't think there are many stories where the side of "security" wins out or looks good . All the rift did , was let the world be a free buffet for villains while they were distracted .
@Gohadouken plus rep there - one of the most eloquent ways I've seen this story described.
@Gohadouken Both of them were right. That was the point.
even in the comics most people thought Ironman was an bad guy. i know people that still hate him it and plus in the comics the registration act didnt really last long or hold anything after the events of captain's death. Even Cap at the end of the comic relize it was a stupid idea to fight. but the trailer was a great tease. would i love to have seen more hell no they would have shown spiderman, other fights and Zemo. They just lay down the simple terms for whats going on. Cap wanted to help a friend and Ironman is like your breaking the rules, plus i thought we was friends?!? im hype as hell. staying away from future trailers. I dont like watching trailers i didnt watch 1 trailer for avengers and most of phase 2 did watch AoU. as far as the title it is a civil war inside the group. and who is disliking everything?
I think that's mostly to do with how they portrayed Stark in the comics. It's what I never liked or understood about it, his character just changed completely and it wasn't like him at all. They tried to make a villain for the sake of it but at the end of the day both of them had peoples best interest at heart...none of them were evil. It bugs me that Steve seems to be doing this for Bucky and look at what is happening...war but in Age of Ultron he's like "I'm sick of watching people pay for our mistakes." Yeah so why escalate this into something where civilians can get hurt. It could have been done another way, it's not like Winter Soldier where Hydra was evil and they were the bad guys...something where he had no choice for what happened and the damage he caused.
Lol This is a Captain America film. Obviously it's gonna be one sided.
Which is why I said "shouldn't have been a Captain America film" You can't do Civil War as someones "solo" film, it deserves much bigger even if it's been changed up
I'm actually kind of on Iron Man's side because from what I see in this trailer, Cap is doing all of this for personal reasons, those reasons being Bucky, instead of doing what is actually right
If Stark did this he would literally be trying to stop him. I don't see why he suddenly doing a 180 for Bucky. He's always believed in what's right. Bucky, despite his friend and being brain washed did commit a shit load of crimes even killing Starks parents so he should just do his best to defend him in court or help him hide. Not start a war over it
"You can't do Civil War as someones "solo" film, it deserves much bigger even if it's been changed up" I mean, they are... so obviously you can.

Not start a war over it" I do actually agree with that though. Sure Bucky was his friend but he's not the same guy. I think we need more info on what exactly is going on in the film and what the conflict really is. Not counting in the Civil War comics, what we know is pretty vague. Edit: Hey look, more bubbles! I guess it's from the new update or something.
Loving the Cap2 tone. This looks pretty good so far! ^^^ What's up with all the disagrees.
No idea on the disagrees, but I think this'll be another stellar entry in the Cap franchise. Winter Soldier was really f-ing great, and this looks like that with more greatness added on.
non other then DC fanboys
Lovin this. Got a different feel to it and GENERAL ROSS!! :)
Agreed. William Hurt's incredible mustache was destined to return eventually. ;)
Glad to see them finally acknowledging TIH even a tiny bit. I hope we get to see more elements from it like Betty or The Leader.
Probably in class during the fights
On his period...
in the end they will all get out alive and be friends otherwise how do they make avengers 3. if this was a standalone movie that wasnt part of some sort of bigger picture, i can see it working and be unpredictable (one of the heroes actually dying) but because we can see the bigger picture, it kinda loses something. oh and how can captain america be a vigilante if he was working with shield this entire time and reporting to nick fury. isnt shield and underground organization affiliated with the UN or US goverment or something? that would make cap an agent or at most a rogue agent not a vigilante.
Shield has been dismantled and hunted since Winter Soldier . Whatever survived isnt at all affiliated to anything , yet . And at the end of Age of Ultron , i'm pretty sure that whatever set up the Avengers ends up with is supposed to be tied to the us governement in some capacity . He'll be a vigilante because rebelling against the system for various reasons , like Bucky .
Black Panther!!! Wow, this Cap movie looks just as good as the second one.
I can see why Hawkeye and Black Widow are on the teams they are. (The legislation puts Hawkeye's family at risk - which we know about after Age of Ultron.) Stoked to see Black Panther too. But for me it didn't do a good job of setting up why it was such a terrible thing for Captain America. It can't all be about Bucky surely?
patience, of course the scope is bigger than "lets save Bucky" thats just the catalyst need to get everything in motion
He wasnt refering to cap.. He was refering to Buck.. Which in my opinion is one of the stupidest characters they choose to concentrate on in the Marvel Universe.. This is starting to reach Sam and Frodo standards now...
Amazing trailer., even better than The Winter Soldier I think.
I was told there be Spider-Man.. I did not see ANY Spider-Man...
