EB: The Prometheus sequel has gone through all sorts of name changes over the years, but today Fox has officially confirmed that it will be called Alien: Covenant with a new logo and plot synopsis, as well as a release date announcement.
With the new The Crow remake coming soon, we take a look back at the 30-year-old cult classic original–and where the stars are now.
Kaam Chalu Hai Review: Based on true events, this movie is thought-provoking and inspiring
Rebel Moon Part 2 Review: This movie doesn't feel anything new or worth remembering, which is a shame.
So Shaw won't be in this? Another ship, the Covenant stumbles onto a planet where they later discover it's a dark and dangerous world
I'm sorry but that sounds an awfully lot like the early plot details of Prometheus. It's kind of like this is what Prometheus should have been if Ridley wasn't trying to stretch his film out straight away into a trilogy and didn't hold back Alien references until later.
I mean you'd think it would just pick up from where the last one did and now we are getting a brand new cast. I wouldn't be surprised if they did a "Alien 3" on Shaws character and she's been killed off screen.
Seriously like I've said they really are better off re-releasing Prometheus as "Alien: Prometheus" and it would go along very nicely to this film "Alien: Covenant" as it sounds similar plot wise and are named after the ships.
Looking forward to it.
Sniff, sniff..yeah smells of corporate all over it.
I can see it now:
"Ridley, you know. We don't want to be disrespectful or anything but Prometheus was to heady. Folks didn't get it. Know what I mean? Audiences wanna see the thing, what do you call it again? Yea right the one with the teeth that chase after you. That thing. Can you maybe do the same thing we've been doing for the last quarter century? Look our marketing guys even have a snazzy new title that works great with the focus groups...."
