Jack Huston and Jennifer Aniston have come on board the Iraq war drama “The Yellow Birds” with Huston replacing Benedict Cumberbatch in the Cinelou Films project.
The project was first unveiled in May at the Cannes Film Festival. At that point, Cumberbatch, Tye Sheridan and Will Poulter were starring with David Lowery (“Ain’t Them Bodies Saints”) directing from his own script.
The pic revolves around two young soldiers — portrayed by Sheridan and Alden Ehrenreich — who are taken under the wing of an older sergeant, played by Huston, as they are deployed to Iraq. Aniston, who will portray the mother of Ehrenreich’s character, starred in Cinelou’s debut project “Cake.”
