It will be Matt Dillon who chases the trio of Social Security-aged stick-up men in the Zach Braff-directed Going in Style remake. Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine and Alan Arkin are playing lifelong pals who become bank robbers. The New Line comedy, based on the 1979 Martin Brest-directed film, was scripted by Ted Melfi and is produced by Donald De Line. Dillon, who has been starring in exec producer M. Night Shyamalan’s Fox summer series Wayward Pines, will play FBI Agent Hamer, who pursues the three elderly lifelong pals who, after discovering their hard-earned pensions have been sold out from under them, decide to rob the bank that absconded with their money. The original starred George Burns, Art Carney and Lee Strasberg.
