The 31-year-old filmmaker, who became one of the industry’s most sought-after directors following the critical and commercial success of 2012’s dark, offbeat, teens-with-superpowers drama Chronicle, had this to say:

Pretty sure his movie would have been sub-par at best, but then it's also a Fox studio movie so you know very well that they stepped in and made it even worse.
