There was a lot to like about this week's chapter of The Strain, between the introduction of Angel, Gus' confrontation with his mother, new progress with Eph's team and more compelling flashback material. However, the show is still suffering from a sluggish pace and the fact that some storylines are barely progressing from week to week. This season needs to focus more on streamlining and less on introducing new plot elements.
