Deadline: Proving once again that location, location, location can be everything, especially in primetime, CBS’ time slot shift for Extant (0.7/2) showed immediate results on Wednesday. In its first night back in the 9 PM post-Big Brother (1.8/7) slot where the Halle Berry series debuted in back in 2014, the struggling Extant saw a 17% rise among adults 18-49 from its July 15 show. That 10 PM telecast of the sci-fi show was a series low for Extant. While lead-in BB dipped 10% from last week, the vet reality show still proved the top-rated and second-most-watched show of the slowish night that saw demo biting Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! over on Syfy and overall 18-49 usage slipping 2%.
