AVClub: If Liam (notably absent but not all that missed from this episode) is the Scrappy-Doo of Teen Wolf, then Theo just might be Scooby-Doo’s contrived “monster”-of-the-week in this universe. Actually, the more I think about it, the more it just feels right. The Dread Doctors already look like the Ghost Diver from Scooby-Doo, so it might even be intentional. Every chimera probably would have gotten away with it, if it weren’t for those meddling kids and Scott McCall. (Scott is definitely Scooby to Stiles’ Shaggy. I’ve thought about this a lot.)
