Last week, The Strain kicked off its second season with a decent, if not spectacular premiere. The show was clearly still trying to find its footing and move past some of Season 1's storytelling missteps. "By Any Means" was a significant step in the right direction, coasting on the renewed momentum of Professor Setrakian's character arc while also injecting new tension and drama into Eph's crusade.
