Elodie Yung Cast as Elektra in the Netflix Original Series 'Marvel’s Daredevil'

Elodie Yung (“G.I. Joe: Retaliation,” “District 13: Ultimatum”) joins the next season of “Marvel’s Daredevil,” streaming only on Netflix in 2016!

Yung will play Elektra, a mysterious woman from Matt Murdock’s past whose dangerous and exotic ways may be more than he can handle. The first season of “Marvel’s Daredevil” made reference to Elektra, but now Yung will portray one of Daredevil's fan-favorite characters. Elektra marks the most recent major addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as she will join Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle in the upcoming season of the Netflix Original Series “Marvel’s Daredevil.”

Marvel really know how to cast. Another one I'm alright with.

Obviously I'm not over hyped as I haven't seen much of her work but appearance wise it's a pass.

Judging from G.I Joe she already looks good in red :)

In Netflix casting directors I trust. They've done an outstanding job with Daredevil, and other Netflix exclusive shows.

The whole cast of Daredevil has been amazing, seriously I don't see why they don't cancel Agents of Shield and add more to Netflix.

I would keep Agent Carter though as it's fairly decent and has better writing with it being a mini series.

I would love to to see a She Hulk or in the future a Punisher series.

I suspect we're going to see a standalone Punisher series after they gauge fan reaction to him in Daredevil - then they're going to have the occasional crossover between them and Jessica Jones.

Seeing a She-Hulk series would be pretty effin sweet for sure but it's trickier with respect to the mocap and budgetary restraints. I don't see them painting up someone the way Lou Ferrigno was in the 80s. It can't be done without proper HIGH QUALITY (Key)CG.

Well if not She Hulk maybe a Blade series

In the Universe they've created they could pass Vampires off as scientific like how they dealt with magic in Thor. Humans experimented on by other beings like the Inhumans or maybe just something like mutants where they are a band of humans changed by something. I don't know something like that so it's not too super natural. I'm not saying shove it in audiences faces but just a little hint so we can come to our own conclusions.

Hopefully they'll set it in the UK though and get someone British for Blade. Maybe later on you can expand the story and have the odd appearance from with the odd appearance from Captain Britain.

Blade has some similarities to Daredevil, mother/father killed, grows up alone, is taught how to fight by someone. Then you have the personal loss which makes Blade want to fight when he looses his girlfriend after getting too cocky while trying to fight a vampire more powerful then him.

It could be great if done right.

Nice! She was runner up to play Wonder Woman! Was only a matter of time before she landed a badass character of her own!

Ad Vitam Review: Clichéd, Silly Thriller Which Doesn’t Entertain - K-waves and Beyond

Ad Vitam Review: This movie 5 is a frustrating watch. It begins slowly, gets ludicrously silly, but never settles on a footing. Action is forgettable, the story feels like patched-together cliches from greater action movies and performances are lacklustre.
