IGN: Break out of those cryogenic freezers and strap on some crazy flashback wigs because the "Choices" episode of Wayward Pines really dug into the character that is David Pilcher, and we finally learned how this wayward town actually came to be.
Building on the previous episode, Thursday night's instalment was David-heavy in the best way possible, flashing back to 2014 and flashing forward to his first attempt at this new society, which we learned didn't go so well. For those of us who were frustrated that the scientist didn't just tell the residents what was going on in the first place, we now know that David originally tried, and it wound up in the whole town being blown up. (As an aside, that hotel sign holds up admirably well under explosions, does it not?)
