Cult horror filmmaker Eli Roth (Hostel, Cabin Fever) has made a video announcement via his Facebook page that his long held-up cannibal opus The Green Inferno will finally see release thanks to Jason Blum’s Blumhouse Productions, which will open the film in theaters on September 25! That’s over a year after it’s original intended release date of September 5, 2014 which was halted by Open Road Films in the wake of financial difficulties incurred by its production company, Worldview Entertainment.
