The way it has been going for the last couple years is simple: Marvel kills it in the box office with comic book adaptations such as Iron Man, Thor and Captain America, while DC has been killing it on television with TV shows like Arrow and The Flash. DC has been trying to bring their stories to the big screen for some time, but by and large, their efforts pale when compared to Marvel’s. The same could be said for Marvel’s TV department, as they bring us lackluster shows like Agents of Shield. However, Marvel made a deal with Netflix to do a multi-series franchise dealing with the Marvel Universe of characters, starting with Daredevil. It is fair to say, this time, Marvel has risen to the challenge in creating a superhero TV show.

I only watched the pilot episode and could barely get through that! The writing is awful the acting is meh. It felt so bland. I know I'm in the vast minority. I wish I could understand why people like it so much...
