“Bad Money” wasn’t one of Silicon Valley’s best episodes, but it did continue to put the Pied Piper gang in imminent danger and manages to raise the stakes yet again. Russ Hanneman is a funny addition, but the writers would do well to take it easy on his presence lest it wear thin too quickly. Hopefully next episode can start addressing some of this season’s larger problems, including a lack of focus on the supporting Pied Piper gang and the banality of Monica and Laurie.
