Richard of PopCults.com writes "That being said, Furious 7 is exactly the kind of movie I expected to see when it was first announced, even after the death of Paul Walker. Yes, I did like the way they handled his character’s fate in the film – it was handled with dignity and class and was a beautiful salute and send off for Walker; but that doesn’t change the fact that this is still an over-the-top action film fueled by male testosterone, adrenaline and nitro that at some points in the film felt that it overinflated the film’s timespan to add in more action scenes but no soul to the story to make it any more interesting than the first film. It is better than the last five films in the franchise, but it still is just chasing the tracks that the first film laid down."
