Gambitcon - Adam Sandler proves in The Cobbler once again that he is just as good in drama as in comedies. His nuanced performance fits perfectly to the tone or should I say toneless atmosphere. I have to say that I really enjoyed the Jewish setting and culture incorporated into the film. It is always a pleasant change of pace. I always love hearing that quirky cheerful Jewish music in a film or a TV Show. It might take a while before the story gets moving but when it does it is a lot fun. The third act even surprisingly turns into a clever heist/caper movie. Now I don’t want to spoil anything but the ending cleverly satirizes superheroes and superhero films in general.
