Fantastic Four 2 Moved Back Following Star Wars Announcement

CS

Following Walt Disney Pictures’ announcement earlier today that Star Wars: Episode VIII will hit theaters on May 26, 2017, 20th Century Fox has made a quick decision to move back Fantastic Four 2 from June 2, 2017 to June 9, 2017. While it’s not a huge push back, it does give the superhero sequel a bit more breathing room. Warner Bros. Pictures, meanwhile, hasn’t said anything about The LEGO Batman Movie yet, as that film also previously set a release date of May 26, 2017.

Talk about counting their chicks waaaaaaaaaaaaay before they're hatched.

Yeah I really don't see this happening.

Awful cast, horrible sounding story, nothing like F4

I really don't see why people would see this.

You don't wanna see Dr. Doom as a hacker guy? xD I think that's exactly what the series needs. Reduce the villain to the lowest possible pedestal and execute him!

I'm still gonna give this movie a shot but my expectations aren't high.

It's going to bomb no matter what day you release it, frankly.

I'm skeptical as to whether this new Fantastic Four will warrant a sequel. It looks so bland. The costumes are uninspiring, the cast seems a little too young and it generally doesn't look fun. I know the previous films may not have been the greatest, but at least they had some fun in them.

No Jessica Alba?

Not good, but I've never missed an F4 movie. ;P

"Fox has made a quick decision to move back Fantastic Four 2 from June 2, 2017 to June 9, 2017."

A one week delay for a movie that still has more than two years until it is released is hardly news worthy.
