It had a couple of stumbles here and there, but overall, Star Wars Rebels’ first season was a rousing success. EPs Filoni, Kinberg, Weisman and their collaborators brought their own love and enthusiasm for Star Wars to the show in obvious and appreciated ways and this was clearly a show by Star Wars fans for Star Wars fans. The lightsaber battle in the season finale was a great example of a show going, “Hey, wouldn’t it be awesome to see this happen, and I look forward to learning what else they have in store and how the inclusion of Vader and Ahsoka in Season 2 will shake things up.
