As you have more than likely heard by now, Marvel and Sony have apparently found their writer and director for the Spider-Man reboot which is set to be released in 2017. The partnership between the two studios shocked fanboys everywhere earlier this year, because no matter how much everyone wanted it to happen, Spider-Man becoming part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe always seemed to be little more than a pipe dream.

Tom Holland will be the newest star to don the iconic Spider-Man costume in the latest reboot of the popular franchise, and will swing into action in Marvel's upcoming Captain America: Civil War.
I'll be honest I'd be bitter as hell lol. Nice to see he's staying classy about the whole thing. It's a shame it didn't work out for him, his Peter was meh, but his Spider-man was spot on. Costume looked great, comedic timing and physique were on point! Shame he couldn't be in a better set of movies.

Every year, the Sundance Film Festival introduces a number of talented filmmakers to the world and while Cop Car wasn’t Jon Watts’ first feature, it made enough of an impact that it helped him score possibly one of the most coveted and prestigious (or nerve-wracking, depending on who you ask) filmmaking gigs available when he was hired to direct Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures’ next Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland in the lead role.
