Power/Rangers – Saban Makes a Huge Mistake in Getting Fan Fiction Short Removed From Internet

Film Enthusiast originally wanted to write a straight up review of Joseph Kahn’s hugely popular fan fiction film, entitled Power/Rangers. This 14 minute short garnered 12 million views in less than 48 hours and has had a very favorable reception by fans. Unfortunately, Saban Entertainment, who owns the rights to Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, has successfully filed a copyright claim and the film has been removed from You Tube and Vimeo.

This was such an awesome short. I've never liked the Power Rangers until I saw this and the potential. Way to go Saben.. I guess this was way more cool then the movie you have planned in 2016. Back to ignoring this property again..

...the guy who made this short also made the Venom and Punisher shorts on youtube...he's actually commented how much he doesn't care for the power rangers, but using them was a good PR stunt. There was no way they were going to let this thing fly, the Power Rangers does have a wholesome image to live up to.

i actually liked the short film, it was a good perspective on how the characters aged, i hope if ever a power rangers film will be done they should make it grittier, not as gritty as the short film because it is for the kids but at least it wont be as cheesy as it used to be.
