What was interesting about Danger Mouse was that it was not your normal kiddie fare, there were more mature jokes, bombs, race cars and the like. These things were nearly unheard of in American grown children’s cartoons such as Bugs Bunny and other Looney Toons shows (though BB featured Elmer Fudd and his rifle prominently). Danger Mouse was more of a riff on James Bond and the whole spy movie/television show mantra and it was not ashamed of it."
