Best Horror Movies says "With a July release of the Poltergeist remake now looming on the horizon, and the trailer and stills blazing their way across the inter-webs, I thought I’d take a few moments to remember some of the valuable life lessons I’ve learned (and now you can too!) from the hundreds of viewings of the original Spielberg/Hooper classic in the 30+ years since its release."
Joe an Anthony Russo, the directors behind many of the Marvel Cinematic most iconic films, has just gained creative control of some of films most important properties.
ReviewOrigin- Poltergeist 2015 is a remake of an old film that my mother used to talk about to me and my brothers in my childhood; the film was first shown in 1982 and was a classic horror of that time. I still remember how my mother talked about it, she said “There’s a monster inside the closet of a room in the movie, the monster opens its mouth and sucked everything inside it; I really liked the design of the closet.
From Cinelinx:
Fox's Poltergeist remake sought to bring everyone's fears back to life, and now they've revealed the blu-ray edition of the movie is coming out in September with a handful of special features and an all new Extended Cut.
Terrible in every way. Not scary or creepy at all.
Watch the originals if want to be creeped out. That old dude in the 2nd and 3rd movies was creepy as hell.
The scariest thing about this film is that it's now available to buy on blu ray. I can imagine many a stocking containing one of these at Christmas. Horrific.
