Marvel Studios: We're Not Afraid of Mayweather 'Avengers 2' Ain't Moving

TMZ: What do killer omnipotent robots, Floyd Mayweather, and Manny Pacquiao have in common?
"The Avengers" are going to kick all of their asses in May ... because Marvel Studios tells TMZ Sports there are no plans to bump the biggest movie of the year ... because of the fight of the century.
We spoke to reps for Marvel who tell us despite the fact that "Avengers: Age Of Ultron" is slated to open on May 1st -- the same weekend as Mayweather vs. Pacquiao -- there are ZERO plans to push the release.

Why would there be? That event is one night, and not a lot of their people care. Their target audience is almost entirely different....

If I had a choice.... well let's just say I didn't even know this "fight" was happening, so Avengers. Twice. If not three times.

Who gives a shit about boxing anyway.

The millions of people who will watch it do. It's all good I can enjoy a great fight and enjoy a great movie.

Most people will watch the fight online or download it later. Don't see the point of shelling out $60 PPV for a fight that is going to go to decision for Mayweather as always. You can always do both anyway. Watch Avengers in the AM before the annoying crowd and then watch fight at night.

I watch a live stream online. Who pays for it? Lol

PPV for the Mayweather fight and the 2 fights before it is $100 just for standard definition, $110 for high def. Im just gonna go to sports bar n watch it. For $110 i can get good food n beer n have money left over to watch the avengers a couple times.

both are epic but if i had to pick one i will pick avengers 2 since i am more excited about it.
the mayweather-pacquiao match will slightly but significantly take away a few numbers from their opening weekend for sure.

We will still be able to see it a few weeks after release.
