Why Spidey Joining the MCU Is Bad for Black Panther

IGN: There’s certainly good reason to get excited for the news that Spider-Man will be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but there’s at least one hero who probably isn’t so ecstatic: Black Panther. The African superhero will be getting his own movie from Marvel Studios, plus it was revealed that he will play an integral part in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War. However, with Spider-Man now needing to establish himself in the MCU, it’s not hard to see why it may come at the expense of Black Panther.

The story is too old to be commented.

It sure is because Spider-man's already a cultural icon. Black Panther is a complete unknown to audiences and he needs his own spotlight more than ever.

Spider-Man doesn't need to establish anything. He won't push Black Panther aside.

If anything, Black Panther rests on Ant Man. Both are relatively lesser known characters, if Ant Man bombs then Marvel may hold back Black Panther a tiny bit.

I think it's safe to say Ant-Man most definitely will not bomb. The trailer looked GREAT it's the only film bridging Age Of Ultron and Civil War. Now Inhumans and Captain Marvel I think are a big risk because they are the only solo Marvel flicks between the Infinity War films.
