IGN: In almost a total flip on last week's episode, "The Scarecrow" gave us some cool Gerald/Jonathan Crane stuff while dropping the ball on nearly everything else.
Sure, poor Jonathan's mental state at the end of this installment basically set us up for a payoff we'll never see (on a separate show that will never exist) - since Gotham is basically Boy, Most Everyone Here Will Sure Cause Trouble For Batman Fifteen Years From Now - but I liked the fact that Gerald was trying to cure fear and make himself and his son immune to it. Even though his son didn't share the guilt that Gerald carried about not saving his wife. And later on in life, Jonathan will do the exact opposite of his father and purposefully induce terror in others.
