THR: Hot off the huge success of his film American Sniper, Warners is in negotiations to pick up the movie rights to Orphan X, an upcoming book by Gregg Hurwitz, for Cooper to produce and possibly star in. Todd Phillips, Cooper's partner at their untitled Warners-based shingle, will also produce.
Hurwitz will pen the adaptation.
