Indeed, it is a risky endeavor. Although it is clear that Better Call Saul is a series about the pre-Walter White years in the career of Saul Goodman – a resourceful attorney with questionable ethics, there will always be those fans who are hesitant to see a spin off as a unique and separate venture. The series had a solid first outing, which should come as no surprise from the team with a track record of creating excellent television."
