It appears that “American Sniper” will fall short of a Super Bowl weekend record, recording approximately $30.6 million in receipts. That’s just shy of the $31.1 million that “Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour” recorded when it debuted against the big game in 2008. A final number will be tallied this afternoon, according to Warner Bros., the studio behind “American Sniper.”
