Last year, it was revealed by Marvel that Inglorious Basterds and Rush star Daniel Brühl had been cast in Captain America: Civil War. There were no details about who he would play, but the trades indicated that it might be a villainous role.
Based on a recent casting call, it appears as if he will be Baron Zemo!
The fact that Zemo might be in the movie is a pretty big revelation, but this is the role that many at the time speculated would be taken on by Brühl in the Captain America: The Winter Soldier follow-up. What kind of part he’ll end up playing in the battle between Captain America and Iron Man remains to be seen.
