Even when the cast was announced for the new Fantastic Four movie, everyone was probably too distracted by those awful memories of intergalactic methane cloud monsters and elasticated dance offs to take it all seriously, particularly as nobody seems able to get Spider-Man right at the minute (and he’s a far more bankable property). But the Fantastic Four deserves to be made: in the grand scheme of things, the super team is pretty much the Marvel Royal Family, and their mistreatment on screen is nothing short of a travesty.
