Deadline:
The Weinstein Company will release its Jake Gyllenhaal boxing pic Southpaw wide on July 31. This is the movie directed by Antonine Fuqua and scripted by Sons Of Anarchy‘s Kurt Sutter and Richard Wenk about Junior Middleweight Champion Billy “The Great” Hope, a lefty champ who loses everything in a personal tragedy and is forced to fight his way to redemption.
Gyllenhaal is in full beast mode for this one as we revealed in the first look at the movie in November, gaining 15 pounds of pure ripped muscle for the role — this after losing 25 pounds to play the nocturnal adrenaline junkie Lou Bloom in Nightcrawler.
With the new The Crow remake coming soon, we take a look back at the 30-year-old cult classic original–and where the stars are now.
Kaam Chalu Hai Review: Based on true events, this movie is thought-provoking and inspiring
Rebel Moon Part 2 Review: This movie doesn't feel anything new or worth remembering, which is a shame.
Oooh, cannot wait for this, this is going to be super exciting, Jake G in a completely different avatar.
