Good read. But any fan will have already thought of this exact idea. Having a separate film division for they're more adult or darker movies. I know I did.
The only question is what the author said. Do you include them in the mainstream MCU or have a new movieverse just for them. Either way could work fine I think as long as either direction is handled properly.
They could always just release them under one of Disney's multiple other studios that handle R-rated content, but I'm not sure how interested they are in doing so. They are making too much money already.
And I have a hard time seeing a Punisher movie ever come out in this day and age. The guy is basically a gun toting maniac who goes on a rampage. In this day and age of people going on shooting sprees that might hit a little too close to home.
