The Terminator films, at least the early ones, are the pinnacle of their genre. Two genres, really, as they blur the line between action and sci-fi.
In short, the movies are awesome. Yet, despite being one of the most storied sci-fi/action franchises of the ’80s and ’90s, The Terminator series has had some regrettably dumb moments throughout its on-screen history. That’s not a surprise when you have a property that runs the gamut from a 100% for the original to just 33% for Terminator: Salvation on RottenTomatoes. Well, maybe just a little surprise.
