It has been 4 years since the release of Green Lantern starring Ryan Reynolds. For the executives at Warner Bros., it was going to be the beginning of their next multi-picture film franchise, but it was not to be. Poor writing, a goofy portrayal of Hal Jordan, and worse villains (a floating yellow cloud and a college professor with a swollen head) sank the franchise before the closing credits rolled on the movie (which was cocky enough to have a post-credits scene revealing Sinestro transforming into his Yellow Lantern form).
A terrible Ryan Reynolds movie is coming to Netflix in the US on September 1st, and it might just find a new audience.
SBV: "April 1 starts strong with The Color Purple and Goodfellas. The HBO drama series The Nevers premieres on April 11. And then on April 16, the latest Mortal Kombat film premieres. If you like superheroes, Green Lantern and The Dark Knight Rises are also coming in April."
One site claims to have discovered the actor who was supposed to play Green Lantern in Zack Snyder's Justice League. Is this John Stewart?
