Even if you’re not normally a fan of the brand of comedy which Seth Rogan and Evan Goldberg (the same pair who directed This is the End) are so famous for, chances are you’ve heard of the duo’s newest film The Interview. The film, which stars both Rogan and his This is the End co-star James Franco in a slapstick plot to assassinate North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un, was originally supposed to premier on Christmas Day but its theatrical release was cancelled in the wake of an online hacking scandal and terrorist threats. Fortunately, the film was soon after made available in select movie theaters as well as via online streaming services. However, now that The Interview has passed through its crucible of controversy and emerged on the other side, one question must still be asked: is it worth watching?
