IGN: With excellent superhero offerings like Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy and X-Men Days of Future Past, and sci-fi fare like Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and Godzilla, 2014 distinguished itself as a year full of quality blockbusters. But smaller films like Birdman, Whiplash, The Babadook (such a good year for horror!) and Grand Budapest Hotel made the year varied and wonderful.
