Why the Entourage Movie Is Completely Unnecessary

TVOM: "After premiering on HBO in 2004, Entourage quickly became a hit for the premium cable network. It was flashy, funny, wish-fulfillment television that glorified the luxurious lives of Hollywood’s elite and made almost every single guy on the planet wished that he could be hanging out with Vince, E, Drama, Turtle, and Ari. The series offered a look inside the film-making industry (although how realistic of a “look” that exactly was is definitely debatable), a great “bromance” between its four central characters, and a endless parade of celebrity cameos, and it was all fun…for three seasons."

CeX Review- Entourage: The Movie

Sam Love writes- Entourage: The Movie is a film I was looking forward to for years. Ever since the series of the same name ended in 2011, we fans wanted more. And after a couple of years of toying with our emotions and announcing, cancelling and announcing again – the film was finally confirmed, and eventually released in 2015 after promising trailers. Did it live up to expectations?

Entourage: The Movie Blu-ray Review | The Reel Roundup

TRR: Feeling very much like the longer, bigger-budget episode of the HBO television series that inspired it, Entourage: The Movie's storyline picks up where the show left off, as Vince (Adrian Grenier) contends with a pair of disgruntled financiers, Texas businessman Larsen McCredle (Billy Bob Thornton) and his son, Travis (Haley Joel Osment), who are causing major problems for his directorial debut. Meanwhile, Ari (Jeremy Piven) is trying hard to ignore requests from his former assistant, Lloyd (Rex Lee), to give him away at his wedding; E (Kevin Connolly) is attempting to navigate the dating scene while his ex-girlfriend, Sloan (Emmanuelle Chriqui), is pregnant with his child; Turtle (Jerry Ferrara) is trying his best to woo MMA fighter Ronda Rousey; and Drama (Kevin Dillon) is, of course, still hoping to achieve recognition in his long (but not-so-illustrious) acting career. In short, it's pretty much business as usual for writer/director Doug Ellin and the gang. But while the series' longtime fans will no doubt enjoy the reunion, everyone else will find that Entourage: The Movie is just about as vapid as its own depiction of the Hollywood lifestyle. Oh well, at least it looks and sounds excellent on Blu-ray.

Entourage is the worst piece of garbage I ever spent money on. Got no love for it myself.

Entourage Review I MenStuff

MenStuff: "Many TV series don’t make a successful jump to the big-screen because of one thing: scale. Most TV-to-movie adaptations end up throwing beloved characters in over-the-top and unrelatable scenarios. Entourage doesn’t aim to be anything bigger, bolder or smarter than its TV show heritage, which is perfectly fine because that is why we fell in love with the show in the first place."
