This year’s New York City Gotham Indie Film Awards saw Alejandro G. Inarritu’s Birdman beating the heavy favorite, Richard Linklater’s Boyhood, for Best Feature film. Michael Keaton was also the recipient of the Best Actor award for his role in Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance), with Julianne Moore winning the Best Actress award for her performance in Still Alice.
