John Boyega has been on a lot of people’s minds ever since the new “Star Wars” trailer dropped. But some of the attention on the “Attack The Block” actor turned “Star Wars:The Force Awakens” stormtrooper has been negative, due to the fact that a few petty, racist troll types on YouTube are unhappy that a black man was donning the aforementioned trooper suit.
With the new The Crow remake coming soon, we take a look back at the 30-year-old cult classic original–and where the stars are now.
Kaam Chalu Hai Review: Based on true events, this movie is thought-provoking and inspiring
Rebel Moon Part 2 Review: This movie doesn't feel anything new or worth remembering, which is a shame.
"Wtf there can't be a black stormtrooper since they are all cloned after Jango Fett...."
Imperial stormtroopers were not cloned after Fett, at least by the time Ep. IV came. Clone Wars troopers would've been too old by then, seeing as there aging rate is way increased to a normal person, not to mention is is blatantly stated in Ep. IV that stormtroopers are normal people that enlisted in the Imperial army. Luke wanted to enlist when he got off the farm.
Some of the Stormtroopers were cloned from Django!
Wow, this is incredible ! The amount of opinions flying around the internet is beyond ridiculous ...
I need to put this in context...
The media are playing it like the issue is its a "Black" guy.... The SW fans are looking at lore saying its not possible due to clones....
Im confused ..... The movie hasn't even screened, so that puts the SW lore to be confirmed, however, I hope its not people that are angry because they're racist?
If its the later, Im more than upset that in this day and age that people still have such a "Bogan" approach to anothers ethnicity.
because of the pre-quels I thought all storm troopers were all clones too. And I fail to see how those comments are "racist".
Get used to it = shoe horning black people into roles not meant for them, even if they aren't displacing evil white people(in this instance a Maori).
