‘X-Men: Apocalypse': Who's Being Eyed to Play Young Jean Grey, Cyclops?

CBM

Chloe Moretz, Elle Fanning and Oscar-nominated actress Hailee Steinfeld are among the teenage leading ladies being eyed to play young Jean Grey in Bryan Singer‘s “X-Men: Apocalypse,” while Ben Hardy, Charlie Rowe and Timothee Chalamet are under consideration for the role of young Cyclops, multiple individuals familiar with the 20th Century Fox project have told TheWrap.

20th Century Fox had no comment on the respective shortlists.

The guys in this list. I have no idea who would be a good fit. I don't any of them.

From the gals listed here, I wanna say Chloe as my top choice but I can't. I love the kid in what she's done but I have trouble separating her from Hitgirl when it comes to CBMs. Elle Fanning is too baby faced and I know they're supposed to be young but I still feel like she looks way too young and truth be told, I know nothing about Hailee Steinfeld. She's cute - I'll give her that much and I know she was nominated for an Oscar, but I never saw True Grit. Not my kind of movie.

It's hard because are they going to use them for just this film or not

I wouldn't want them to be the new Jean/Scott for the X-Men films, I'd rather see two more films with the original actors and give them a proper send off.

Who knows maybe do a Phoenix Saga again but do it justice.

Young actors are hit and miss these days, not like they were in the 70s/80s/90s

The girls are fine, except for Chloe, I don't think she's a good actress and just see her as Hit Girl, but the guys are all horrible choices.

I think casting is why I'm worried for the X-Men series...if it happens.

Charlie Rowe's got Jean Grey and Hailee Steinfeld's got Cyclops in the bag.
