James Gunn Talks Guardians of the Galaxy, Deleted Scenes, Easter Eggs, Guardians 2 & More

CB

One of my favorite movies of 2014 is James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy. Loaded with great performances, an extremely funny script, and some fantastic action sequences, the movie blew past everyone’s expectations to become one of the most popular movies of 2014. As most of you know, the story follows five intergalactic misfits—Peter Quill aka Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista), Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel), and Rocket (voiced by Bradley Cooper)—as they set out to protect a powerful and mysterious orb from the villainous Ronan the Accuser (Lee Pace). I like Guardians, didn't love it, but nonetheless one of the most ambitious superhero films I've seen in the last 4-5 yrs. Hilarious, heartfelt, and all around the kind of awesome that Marvel does.
