TV Equals: "With South Park having its drone episode last week, NCIS: LA took a turn this time. And “Leipei” was very much a garden variety outing. Not including the sojourn in Tijuana, multiple episodes this season have centered around storylines devoted to the main characters. Hetty had her conversation with Nell at the end, but everything else was your normal NCIS: LA. It was not one of the more memorable ones for me yet did what the show always does well. Callen and Sam had their playful bits, Deeks had a funny clueless moment, there was an interesting suspect (Frank Kouris), and of course the whole technological aspect (this time involving the drone)."
