So it looks like Gambit is getting a spin-off movie. The card-flinging, Cajun-speaking, New Orleans-born pick-up-artist has been one of the most divisive and inexplicably popular members of the X-Men introduced during the comics’ resurgence in the early nineties, appearing in the phenomenally popular animated series and countless video games and action figures guises. He already making a big screen appearance, too, played by Taylor Kitsch in X-Men Origins: Wolverine (generally considered to be the nadir of the franchise in all respects).
