Leave it to District 9 writer-director Neill Blomkamp to tap the humanity lurking inside a robot.
The futurist filmmaker’s R-rated sci-fi action-adventure Chappie (due in theaters Mar. 6) follows an experimental humanoid who’s abducted by criminals (Yo-Landi Vi$$er and Ninja of the South African rave-rap act Die Antwoord) en route to an Artificial Intelligence day of reckoning. Will Chappie’s capacity to think and feel for himself result in “the next step in evolution”?
With the new The Crow remake coming soon, we take a look back at the 30-year-old cult classic original–and where the stars are now.
Kaam Chalu Hai Review: Based on true events, this movie is thought-provoking and inspiring
Rebel Moon Part 2 Review: This movie doesn't feel anything new or worth remembering, which is a shame.
bit lacklustre but I will be checking it out.
That looks like it's going to be awesome. Not sure how I feel about the members of Die Antword(Ninja and Yo-landi) are going to fit in aside from being from the same part of Africa as Blomkamp so their accents mix well but sign me up
I already watched this in the 80s when it starred Steve Guttenburg and Ally Sheedy.
This doesn't look that great so far. Blomkamp's movies have sort of been going in a downhill trajectory for me. And the robots always look so similar between movies.
