IGN - Loosely based on retired NYPD detective Ralph Sarchie's memoir Beware the Night, Deliver Us From Evil follows Bronx cop Sarchie (Eric Bana) as he investigates a series of grisly and eerie crimes that end up being connected by the supernatural. Ralph's investigation sees him cross paths with Father Mendoza (Edgar Ramirez), an unorthodox Jesuit priest and exorcist. Sarchie, a streetwise Italian-American who lost his faith in Catholicism, must overcome his cynicism if he and Mendoza are going to defeat this demon.
