Deadline:
JC Chandor’s crime drama A Most Violent Year will open AFI Fest — the last major film festival of the fall season — on Thursday night at the TLC Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. It is a necessarily high-profile slot for the pic starring Oscar Isaac and Jessica Chastain, which newbie distributor A24 picked up for awards-season play but plans to hold back for release until December 31 — the last day to enter the Oscar race.
Here’s the first trailer for the pic written and directed by All Is Lost and Margin Call‘s Chandor. It’s set in 1981 NYC and revolves around the lives Isaac and Chastain’s married couple as they strive to achieve the American Dream amid corruption and violence.
The latest "Deadpool & Wolverine" trailer gave us a glimpse at the MCU's golden boys kicking butt and taking names - as well as a whole mess of Easter eggs.
With the new The Crow remake coming soon, we take a look back at the 30-year-old cult classic original–and where the stars are now.
