a new mortal kombat series on TV is a good idea, it never goes old. just make it as good or even better than the web series in machima, i am sure it will have high ratings as long as the show remains true to the storyline.

what happen to the mortal kombat film they were developing? did it go hiatus after the director dropped from the project

Soldierone3464d ago

Yes. The studio hasn't really bothered to fill the gap and isn't too inspired to get it going, that's why it's hitting TV etc... first.

Game sales along with ratings from this will decide if the film gets made eventually.

Whoever makes it should get global rights though. I could see it doing okay here in NA, but explode world wide. Other countries have a better appreciation for fight movies than us.

I hope it's similar to the machima series. It was gritty.
