CBM: Fans of the comic book movie genre got no shortage of films to look forward too over the next few years after Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara formally announced this week a full slate of DC projects set to be released between 2016 and 2020. Confirmed to be in development were such films as Suicide Squad (2016), Wonder Woman (2017), The Flash (2018), Aquaman (2018), Shazam (2019), Green Lantern (2020), Cyborg (2020) and two Justice League films (2017 and 2019).
With Taylor Swift strongly rumored to be making a cameo in Deadpool 3 as Dazzler, host Raymond Padilla started thinking of other celebrities that make great superheroes (or supervillains!). To aid him in this noble endeavor, he enlisted the help of longtime videogame journalist and suspected evil mastermind Paul Semel (also known as the Lex Luthor of Mid-Wilshire). The two pick the non-actor celebrities they think should appear in upcoming DC and Marvel movies and TV shows.
Blue Beetle is all set to be DC's upcoming release. Here all about who will play Jaime Reyes and other characters in the film.
Zack Snyder has an exciting announcement about Lord Darkseid. Read on to find out!
Aquaman is a bad idea. Hey Aquaman, I am going to rob this bank ON LAND! Bwahahahaha! Your stupid "powers" can't stop me.
Aquaman: Curses, foiled again!
The only one I'm surprised didn't make it was Teen Titans. Other than that, it's either movies that may come in the future, but are not something you boot a franchise with.
They needed to go with icons, and that's what they did.
Metal Men could have been quite decent if it was modernised. Imagine a team of Iron Men fighting crime.
Teen Titans would work better as a TV series.
Would love a Justice League Dark film, although we could just end up seeing the team-up in Constantine.
