Relativity Buys Kevin Costner-Starrer ‘Black Or White’

Deadline:
Relativity is wrapping a deal to acquire U.S. rights to Black Or White, the Mike Binder-directed drama that stars Kevin Costner and Octavia Spencer. A racially charged drama that created strong buzz when it premiered at Toronto under the title Black And White. The drama is inspired by the true story of a grieving widower, who is also an angry alcoholic (Costner), and his struggle to retain custody of the young mixed-race granddaughter he and his recently deceased wife were raising. Spencer co-stars as the grandmother on the opposite side of the dispute. Gillian Jacobs, Jennifer Ehle, and Anthony Mackie also star.
